Empire Container Saves Time with Automatic Printing of Manufacturing Dockets
Lombard, IL – June 12, 2008 – HRMS Inc., a subsidiary of VantagePoint Systems, Inc., announced today that Empire Container Corp. of Carson, CA has implemented SpecLink manufacturing docket printing software from EskoArtwork, integrated with their HRMS Gen/2 core business system. As part of a new overall strategy, Empire had started to modernize its operations and improve their internal workflow by upgrading their business software and implementing a direct interface between their core business system and CAD design software in the spring of 2008.
The installation of SpecLink server and integration to their core business software that was completed recently, is a continuation of this strategy. The SpecLink software produces an accurate manufacturing docket with full text, graphics and other specifications, showing the item to be manufactured or assembled. It provides integration between design, estimating, customer service and production, and eliminates errors by using a common source of information for all departments. SpecLink also enables electronic sample requests to be forwarded to the sample table. Some of the SpecLink benefits include elimination of duplicate data entry, improved productivity and accuracy, and integrated workflow that connects the business system, CAD design solution and customer service personnel.
“As we grow, the business systems we employ become essential to providing excellent service and quality to our customers. Our integration of SpecLink into HRMS Gen/2 continues the improvement of our business systems,” commented Mr. Hal Mottet, CEO of Empire Container Corp.
