Empire Container Ownership and Starts to Modernize Its Operations
Lombard, IL – February 7, 2008 – HRMS Inc., a subsidiary of VantagePoint Systems, Inc., announced today that Empire Container Corp. of Carson (CA) has signed an agreement to upgrade their existing business software to Gen/2, the latest version of the proven HRMS core business software for corrugated packaging manufacturers. As part of the overall software upgrade project, Empire will modernize its operations and improve their internal workflow by upgrading to a new computer system and implementing a direct interface between Gen/2 and their CAD design software.
Empire Container, a family-owned business ran by the Eagle family for the past 60 years, underwent a change in ownership in November 2007 when previous owners, Lewis & Norman Eagle, decided to retire. After careful negotiations, Hal Mottet and Don Simmons purchased the company. Recognizing the opportunity to continue the successful operation of the company with existing employees, the new owners started working on identifying necessary operational improvements, including upgrading their business systems and increasing efficiencies throughout the organization.
“Lewis and Norman Eagle have provided Don and me with an excellent platform from which to grow. Our first step is to improve the quality and usefulness of business information by upgrading our business software to Gen/2, the latest version of the HRMS software, enabling us to quickly make better business decisions,” commented Mr. Hal Mottet, a co-owner of Empire Container Corp.
