VantagePoint Becomes Microsoft Industry Software Partner
Vancouver, B.C. – July 18, 2007 VantagePoint Systems, Inc. (TSX-Venture: VPG), a leading supplier of business software for the packaging manufacturing industry today announced it has become an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) in North America integrating and delivering Microsoft Dynamics GP business management solutions to the paperboard packaging industry.
In addition to Microsoft Dynamics GP business management, VantagePoint will also offer Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software configured specifically for the sales and customer service departments within packaging manufacturers. Special integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the estimating, inventory, and order processing functions of VantagePoint’s software solutions will also be provided.
This appointment provides VantagePoint Systems with a software development relationship with Microsoft that will help shape the direction for VantagePoint’s software solutions over time. As a first step, VantagePoint will integrate Microsoft Dynamics GP business management solution with its HRMS Gen/2™ software for corrugated packaging manufacturers, and offer it to current and future HRMS customers. This will be followed by integrating Microsoft Dynamics GP with the VantagePoint Accelerate™ software solution for folding carton and flexible packaging manufacturers, as well as integrating with the Business VantagePoint™ solution for larger corrugated packaging manufacturers. Packaging manufacturers will for the first time ever have the benefit of using Microsoft’s finance and accounting software tightly integrated to VantagePoint’s industry-specific solutions.
“We are pleased to have VantagePoint as an ISV partner to meet the specific business needs of our customers in the paperboard packaging industry,” said Naseem Tuffaha, Sr. Director, ISV Sales and Marketing of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group.
“With this new relationship, VantagePoint Systems’ existing software solutions for packaging will be enhanced by the additional functionality provided by Microsoft Dynamics GP business management, Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, and a host of other Microsoft solutions such as the new Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007,” said Jim Hennings, VantagePoint President & CEO. “This relationship provides VantagePoint with access to significant technical and marketing resources within Microsoft that we can leverage for the benefit of our current and future customers.”
