Custom Packaging Upgrades to HRMS Gen/2

Lombard, IL – May 9, 2008 HRMS Inc., a subsidiary of VantagePoint Systems, Inc., announced today that Custom Packaging Inc. of Lebanon, TN, has upgraded their business software system to HRMS Gen/2, the latest version of the proven HRMS core business software for corrugated packaging manufacturers. 

The Gen/2 software includes a more versatile Purchase Order module, streamlined Order Entry and enhanced functionality for the estimating of assembled and unassembled sets.  “One benefit is that we can now assign many order numbers to one main Purchase Order.  This has streamlined our operations, and made handling of blanket orders very easy,” commented Keisha Hale, Office Manager at Custom Packaging.  “Also, the ship-to address for entered orders now pops up automatically, and we can easily double-check it before proceeding with order entry.”

Building further on the functionality of the previous releases, Gen/2 takes advantage of the Windows environment by utilizing a role-based user home page, and enabling custom queries to be developed by the user, with data export capabilities into Microsoft Office applications through comprehensive data extraction tools built into the software.  “The custom queries have definitely been beneficial to our users as they can now easily find information within the system without having to create custom reports,” commented Doug Stromer, IT Manager at Custom Packaging.  The Gen/2 PowerSearch™ tool allows users to search and filter against any data in the system, and minimizes time needed to process daily work by allowing instant access to important information without the interruption of the current task performed.
